We offer the following services cost-free to all cancer patients in Deming and Luna County. 

*Transportation Programs
     » Van Program – Fleet of 4 Vans & Volunteer Drivers. Takes
        patients to and from appointments locally, in Las Cruces, Silver City and El Paso.

     » Voucher Program – Assists patients with fuel costs to treatments and doctor
        appointments out of Deming.  Also available to Columbus residents.

*Co-Pay Assistance – We offer limited co-pay assistance to offset the cost of procedures related to cancer treatment.

*Lodging Assistance – We offer up to $75 per night lodging reimbursement for patients who need to stay in a hotel during cancer treatments.

*Cancer Resource Library – We have a fully stocked resource library to all community members in our office. We have materials that you can take home and keep, as well as reference books that may be checked out for a month at a time.

*Breast Prosthesis – We have a selection of prosthesis for mastectomy patients to choose from.  We also have a selection of mastectomy bras available. There are also a few post op vests available for use.

*Wigs, Hats & Scarfs – We offer a wide variety of choices in headwear to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. 

*Payment for Early Detection Testing – We offer a voucher program to cover the cost of a few early detection tests that can be performed at Mimbres Memorial Hospital for both men and women.  The tests available are Mammogram and Hemoccult for women and PSA blood draws for men.

*Airfare Reimbursement Program – For those patients who need to travel a long distance for treatment we offer airfare reimbursement for the patient.  We are also able to help a patient apply for a free flight through “Grace Flight of America”.

*Patient Advocate who offers assistance with:
         » Filling out insurance and medical forms
         » Setting Appointments
         » Finding programs to assist financially
         » Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs
         » Having Someone to talk to
